Lets try again...

Almost one year ago we decided to create a blog.

We had the idea to document our creative journey.

I hoped that it would  not only grow our relationship as mother and daughter, but also as individuals.

Life happened.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

I have had the surgery.

I have finished chemotherapy.

Last week, in fact.

I am waiting for radiation.

More than ever before, I want to make stuff.

Life gets too busy - work, school, family, other people.... all excuses

Live each day as though it's your last,

make time,

&

believe anything is possible.

Now to work out how to put decent photos on the posts!

Hello ... from Finn

Hi, Finn here........

It is school holidays on Friday, and I am going down to Collinsville - a small mining town in central Queensland, to visit my cousins, with my grandma. I plan to take lots of photos, to make a mini holiday book. When I get it done I will post it on our blog.

Velmas Tag Swap

We are participating in our first tag swap, with Velma.

Our tags are completed.

Finn made something pretty. I wanted to make something with an Australian feel. This proved harder than I first planned. There is very little Australian themed bits out there. I kept mine raw and natural, like much of the landscape. I wanted to include gum leafs and gumnuts, but decided against it - I didn't want any trouble with customs! We were not sure how far to go, so decided to keep it simple to start with. We hope that the other swappers will not be disappointed.
